This is a 1908 copy of Hale’s most famous work, The Man Without a Country.  Edward Everett Hale was the great-nephew of Nathan Hale, the famous American Revolutionary spy.  This book was written to garner support for the Union side in the American Civil War. The book is about 5”x7” and only 1/2” thick.  There is wear to the cover and the top edge, as seen in the photos. The binding is still strong and in good condition.
