This is a small, hardcover copy of Storm by George R. Stewart. It’s a Modern Library edition, published in 1947. Stewart is known for his science fiction work, Earth Abides. Storm is about Maria, a storm that bears down on the San Francisco Bay. Because of this book, the National Weather Service started naming tropical storms and hurricanes. This book is in very good condition, with some small markings on the front cover—a great find!
